We find ourselves in a garden filled with Wisteria. A parade of violet and white blossoms cascade, like a waterfall caught in a moment of time. Old, they are, older than some of us, their twisted vines a testament to the years they’ve seen come and go. Like the ancient oak that seemed dead but wasn’t, these plants aren’t going anywhere.
In the first light, the Wisteria springs into life. New buds, still fresh and delicate, curl up, waiting for the sun’s gentle nudge. They’re like the little pale-pink nettles that pop up between the stingers and the limes. There’s something reassuring about it, a rhythm that’s been going on for longer than we know.
You watch the Wisteria and you learn a thing or two. You see the dry spells and the good years. You see how they hang on, how they flourish when they can, and simply endure when they can’t. Just like the rest of us.
Grow, bloom, take life as it comes, and live it as only we can – with grace, with strength, and hopefully a touch of flowery elegance.
Life gets hectic. That’s the way it supposed to be. But amidst all that noise, we can still find a little bit of quiet, a small patch of peace. Find your secret garden.
Start with just five minutes each day. Right when you wake up, before the world has had a chance to shake off its sleep. These moments are yours. Maybe it’s just enjoying a cup of coffee while it’s still hot or reading a chapter from a book you love.
You could spend those minutes out in your garden, yanking out stubborn weed, feeling the earth under your fingertips. It’s you, the cool morning air, and the birds singing their wake-up songs. You’re there, part of it all, like a Wisteria vine reaching towards the sky.
Get some sun. Sit outside, share that sun with the birds and trees, feel the warmth seep into your skin. Or spend time with your child in the morning before they trot off to school.
The thing is, just like Wisteria can grow and thrive even when things change around it, so can we. It’s not about making big, sweeping changes. It’s about finding those small moments, those daily bits of happiness.
So, let your day unfold at its own pace. Starts with those quiet moments. Your own little piece of calm in the middle of life’s hustle and bustle.
And just like that Wisteria in the garden, you’ll find there’s something beautiful in the simplicity of it all.
Remember, it all begins with those five minutes.

The Grande Mosquée de Paris was built as a tribute to the Muslim soldiers who fought for France in World War I.
